HMD unveils the Skyline Series at Exclusive Nairobi Event: Showcasing Innovation, Sustainability and Global Partnerships

Human Mobile Devices (HMD),Europe’s trailblazer in mobile technology known for its unique approach to technology has unveiled its highly anticipated hero handset, HMD Skyline device in the Kenyan market. The HMD Skyline is designed to offer remarkable functionality, great battery life, and a stunning look.

This device is packed with impressive features and represents a significant improvement compared to previous models.

Since April 2024, HMD has redefined its lineup with devices that champion user-repairability, affordability, and environmental responsibility. The Skyline series is a landmark innovation, reinforcing HMD’s mission to bring high-quality, sustainable tech to a global audience.

Speaking at the Nairobi launch, Maureen Kambona, the HMD Regional Marketing Manager West, East & Central Africa, remarked, “Today’s launch is more than just the introduction of new devices; it is a testament to our continuous evolution. The Skyline series introduces a fresh lineup of smartphones and feature phones, each designed with affordability, repairability, and sustainability in mind. At the heart of this new series is the belief that high-quality mobile technology should be inclusive and impactful, enhancing lives across all demographics.

Gopher Ogembo, HMD’s Senior Business Manager, East Africa, highlighted the features of HMD Skyline. “Skyline offers a 108MP triple rear camera and a 50MP front camera for pro-level photography. With 4K video selfie capabilities, it’s a content creator’s dream.

Plus, it boasts a 48-hour battery life, wireless Qi magnetic charging, and Detox Mode for those moments when you need to disconnect. Starting at just KES 60,000, the Skyline redefines what consumers can expect from a smartphone in this price range.”
