Airtel Money Kenya has joined forces with Moja Expressway Company in a strategic partnership set to redefine expressway toll fee payments. This collaboration introduces Airtel Money as the latest, convenient payment method for expressway users.
The partnership between Airtel Money and Moja Expressway Company opens doors for Airtel Money customers to effortlessly settle toll fees at expressway exits. In addition, it provides an opportunity for Airtel Money to expand its range of use cases while ensuring customers enjoy a hassle-free payment experience.
Commenting on the partnership, Anne Kinuthia-Otieno, Managing Director of Airtel Money Kenya, said, “In today’s environment, fostering strong partnerships and delivering clear value to our customers is the way forward. We are pleased to join hands with Moja Expressway Company to offer our customers a secure and convenient way to pay expressway toll fees.

With a growing number of motorists opting to use the expressway, Airtel Money provides the users with an affordable platform for making their payments. By leveraging this payment option, customers will be able to experience a convenient and flexible check out option while at the expressway.
The Airtel Money and Moja Expressway Company partnership was forged to cater to the expressway users accustomed to cash payments, Manual Toll Collection (MTC), or Electronic Toll Collection (ETC). With Airtel Money now available as a payment option, customers can seamlessly top up their ETC accounts or make MTC payments at exits.
For MTC customers, they can now make payments at exit toll stations through Airtel Money. The Customer shall provide the attendant with their Airtel registered number, then receive a push notification, prompting them to enter their PIN for completion of payment.
Further, customers who opt for ETC payments can top up through Airtel Money by dialing *819# or through the Moja website. As part of Airtel’s festive season offers, payments through Airtel Money at the expressway will attract zero transaction charges (exclusive of partner charges) until end of January 2025.
