Airtel Money reduces charges on Paybill,Wallet and Bulk payment

  • AIRTEL MONEY REDUCES ITS PAYBILL AND WALLET TO BANK CHARGES

Airtel Money,a leading mobile money services provider in Kenya has reduced its paybill, bulk payment and wallet to bank charges. This is an effort to drive affordability for its customers.

In the new changes Airtel Money’s Paybill and Wallet to Bank charges are lower compared to the current market rates in each tariff band.

With most of the Government services being accessed and paid for digitally, the reduction in the paybill transaction charges will be highly welcomed by Kenyans as they pay for e-citizen services through Airtel Money while enjoying lower transaction costs.

The revised charges will apply to all Airtel Money customers. Besides the reduced paybill charges, Airtel Money customers will still continue to enjoy Zero charges on utility bills payments such as electricity.

This move reaffirms our continuous commitment in supporting our customers especially with the prevailing economic challenges.

Airtel Money will continue providing flexible and personalized solutions while at the same time delivering exceptional services and value for their money.” Said Airtel Money Kenya MD Anne Kinuthia-Otieno.

Airtel Money remains committed to continue offering unmatched value for money with their products and services.

Recently Airtel Money revised its transfer and withdrawal transaction charges.This will be effective from 25th October 2023.The revision of the transaction costs is a reflection of Airtel Money’s strive to offer its customers cost-effective solutions as they make transactions across the different bands.

Airtel received approval from the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) to increase the daily transaction limit for its customers from the current Kes 300,000 to Kes 500,000 effective August 15, 2023.This was in a move to align with Airtel Money’s commitment to enabling seamless and affordable digital transactions to all Kenyan citizens and businesses. The company recently announced that it has tripled its number of mobile money agents and targets to close at 120,000 agents by the end of 2023.
