Samsung launches Galaxy Z series in the market

Samsung has launched its fourth-generation foldable phones into the market, the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4.

The Galaxy Z Fold 4 which has a storage of 12GB RAM and 512 ROM will go for Sh256,999 whereas the Galaxy Z Flip which has 12GB and 256GB storage will retail at Sh142,999.

Preorders for both phones are available and come with an offer of a phone cover, S-Pen, Samsung Care Plus and a 24-month warranty for Galaxy Z Fold 4 and a clear slim phone cover, Samsung Care Plus, and 24-month warranty for Galaxy Z Flip 4.

Speaking during the launch of the devices, Samsung’s President and Head of Mobile experience Business Tae Moon Roh noted that they are built on the firm’s philosophy of openness that will enable the users to customize the phones as they wish.

“Through our unwavering focus, excitement for the foldables continues to grow. We’ve successfully transformed this category from a radical project to a mainstream device line-up and enjoyed by people worldwide,” he said.

Giant electronics manufacturer has also partnered with Badili to offer trade-in services and will top up Sh. 25,000 over the traded-in phone value if you will be purchasing Galaxy Z Fold and Sh. 20,00 if you will be purchasing the Galaxy 2 Flip 4.

Moreover, consumers will enjoy device financing that comes with a 0 per cent interest rate for 6 months for both devices which is a partnership the company has secured with Aspira.

Galaxy Z Fold4 comes in three colours gray green, phantom black and beige and with a main screen dimension of 7.6 inches and a cover screen of 6.2 inches. The Galaxy Z Flip4comes in Bora purple, graphite, pink gold and blue colours and has a main screen of 6.7 inches and a 1.9 inches cover screen.

The Z Flip 4 has a 10 megapixels front camera and dual rear camera, a 12 MP ultra wide-angle camera and a 12 MP wide-angle camera with a 4K Ultra High Dimension (UHD) recording capacity.

The Z Fold 4 has a cover camera of 10MP, a 4MP under-display front camera and a triple rear camera of 12MP Ultra-wide camera, 50MP Wide angle camera and 10MP telephoto camera.

In addition to the phones, Samsung has also launched the Galaxy Buds2 Pro earbuds which have a new compact and ergonomic design that offers noise cancellation and fits well in the ear without rotating.
