Yellow Card’s Chris Maurice Recognised as Key Global Influencer in Stablecoin Industry

Chris Maurice, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Yellow Card, has been named among the individuals recognised for their influence and contribution to the global stablecoin ecosystem in Stablecon’s Stablecoins Most Influential 2026 list.

Maurice’s inclusion highlights his growing role in promoting stablecoin adoption and advancing digital financial infrastructure across emerging and established markets.

The annual Stablecoins Most Influential list, published by Stablecon, recognises leading figures across the global stablecoin industry, covering six regions and diverse categories ranging from issuers and technology builders to policymakers.

Stablecon uses a five-part evaluation framework focused on influence, impact, innovation, momentum and peer recognition to determine the individuals making the greatest contribution to the sector.

Maurice is part of a high-profile 2026 cohort that includes leaders from some of the world’s most influential financial and technology companies. Among those recognised are Emilie Choi, Coinbase President and COO; Patrick Collison, Stripe Co-Founder and CEO; Charles Cascarilla, Paxos Co-Founder and CEO; and Larry Fink, Chairman and CEO of BlackRock.

The award adds to a series of achievements that have established Maurice as a leading advocate for the adoption of stablecoins globally.

He has spoken at major international conferences attended by heads of state, provided insights to ministers and financial regulators, and was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2023. His work has also received international media coverage from CNBC, BBC, Bloomberg, Forbes and Business Insider.

Reflecting on the recognition, Maurice said the latest honour vindicated the company’s early decision to invest in the stablecoin sector.

“Many years ago, we took a bet on Stablecoins when few people could see what the future of finance would look like,” said Maurice, Co-Founder and CEO of Yellow Card.

“Today, being celebrated among the leaders of this industry tells me that bet is paying off. Conviction is the only currency that matters before the world catches up to you.”

Yellow Card has grown significantly under Maurice’s leadership, facilitating more than $7.5 billion in transactions during the past year. The company has also broadened its international reach, with operations and market expansion spanning Africa, Latin America, Southeast Asia and North America.

Its growth has been supported by investment from leading players in the digital asset industry, including Polychain Capital, Blockchain Capital and Coinbase Ventures.

Yellow Card has additionally forged strategic partnerships with major global companies, including Visa, Mastercard and PayPal, strengthening its position within the international digital payments ecosystem.

The company’s achievements have attracted further industry recognition. In 2025, Yellow Card won the Grand Prix in the Payments category at the Money20/20 USA Awards. It was also named to the inaugural Fortune Crypto Innovators list in 2026.

With Maurice at the helm, Yellow Card continues to pursue its mission of connecting businesses across international markets through stablecoin infrastructure.

His recognition by Stablecon comes at a time when stablecoins are increasingly becoming part of discussions around the future of global payments, financial inclusion and cross-border commerce, further highlighting the growing influence of leaders working to build the infrastructure underpinning the digital finance economy.
