Samsung Recognised as global Refrigerator Brand 2021

Samsung Electronics has been recognised as the number one refrigerator brand in 2021 by global research firm Omdia.

The research firm conducted a study on the global market in the appliances category where Samsung was recognised as the best refrigerator brand.

The research findings were released globally through the research firm’s website. The research focuses on all countries excluding China and analyses all connected major home appliances including fridges, televisions, and washing machines – all that Samsung is renowned for.

Samsung Electronics was also recently recognised as one of the Top Five Brands in the world and continues to create premium appliances that complement and enhance the way we live today.

“We’re proud to lead the fridge appliance industry by offering ground-breaking products for every type of customer, and for every type of home, whether it’s your first home or your dream home,” said Samsung Electronics East Africa Head of Consumer Electronics Division, Mr. Sam Odhiambo.

Innovation is in our DNA at Samsung. We listen carefully to what consumers tell us they want for their modern, connected homes and offer products that make the daily lives of families more convenient, more efficient, and more meaningful.”

Locally the electronics manufacturer has noted a continuous increase in the purchase of refrigerators in the last two years that can be attributed to the shift to the work from home culture that in turn has contributed to the need for more grocery storage space.

From affordable home appliances to new premium technology such as the BESPOKE Refrigerator, that can be customised to your space, the company offers a combination of versatile, intelligent features and smart design.

This is based on Samsung’s vision for a new kind of home in which appliances are beautifully designed, flexible to fit every lifestyle, and seamlessly connected for maximum convenience. Samsung achieved the ‘Number One Fridge Brand in the World’ certification through an unwavering focus on performance and efficiency and on designing appliances through rigorous engineering and uniform quality.

Samsung expects to maintain its industry-leading market position by incorporating ground breaking technology and features across all refrigerator line-ups. Over the next few years, Samsung will also continue to invest in R&D and product development in strategic business areas to strengthen its core and emerging technology offers.

“We continue to be incredibly humbled by the trust placed in our vision and products; it is what drives our relentless pursuit to deliver cutting-edge innovation and a best-in-class home appliance that meets the needs of the modern-day consumer,” concluded Mr. Sam Odhiambo.
